Greeting from the Co-Founders

Kenta Yoshida
CEO / Licensed Real Estate Agent
When searching for a home in Japan, many people find themselves confused by differences in language and local business practices.
We wanted to make those barriers easier to navigate, so that our clients can take their first step forward with confidence.
With that intention in mind, we founded Pocket Estate.
Like a pocket — always close when you need it —
we aim to be a trusted presence that supports everyday life and home-finding in Japan.

CEO / PR & Marketing Lead
Real estate is a field where the quality of decisions can change significantly depending on how information is presented.
For many foreign nationals, the full range of available options is not always clearly accessible.
From a marketing perspective, we rethink how real estate information is communicated,
helping make housing choices and property decisions clearer and more informed.

Story
At Pocket Estate,
we focus on making Japanese real estate a market that can be clearly understood and confidently accessed from overseas.
From an international perspective, Japan’s real estate market offers many compelling advantages —
public safety, a stable legal framework, and highly developed urban infrastructure.
At the same time, differences in language, information disclosure, and business practices have led it to be perceived as a market with a relatively high barrier to entry.
In practice, real estate transactions in Japan are largely conducted in Japanese and rely on local conventions.
As a result, overseas investors and individuals living abroad often find themselves in a situation where
they recognize the value of the market, yet lack sufficient information or a reliable point of contact to make informed decisions.
Meanwhile, within Japan, a growing number of properties and vacant homes remain underutilized.
While this is widely recognized as a social issue, it is also an area with significant potential for revaluation when approached with the right perspective and operational strategy.
We see our role as bridging these two gaps:
the lack of clarity from an overseas viewpoint,
and the unrealized value of real estate assets within Japan.
At Pocket Estate, we present Japanese real estate to international investors and foreign-national clients not merely as listings,
but as decision-ready opportunities — structured with clear context, risks, and long-term operational considerations.
Rather than focusing on short-term transactions,
we prioritize relationships and strategies aimed at maintaining and enhancing asset value over time.
When properly understood and managed,
Japanese real estate can stand as a highly attractive investment market from a global perspective.
In an era where people and capital move increasingly across borders,
Pocket Estate is committed to making engagement with Japanese real estate more transparent, practical, and sustainable.
We sincerely appreciate your continued support and trust in our team.
